Born in Salto (Buenos Aires). Achieved degrees
in Saxophone and Clarinet in the Conservatorio Nacional de Música
and studied at the Escuela
de Música Popular de Avellaneda. He later studied at the Berklee
College of Music in Boston (U.S.A.) under scholarship further
perfecting his improvisation and arrangement skills.
Among his teachers are Mariano Frogioni,
Hugo Pierre, Julio Rizzo, Hal Crook, Joseph Viola, Billy Pierce,
Ted Pease, David Johnson, Greg Hopkins, Ed Tomassi, Dave Friedman,
Andy McGhee, Jim Odgren, Susana Bonora, and Julio Viera.
As clarinetist, saxophonist and
flutist he has performed and recorded with well known symphony orchestras
in Argentina and Chile as well as chamber music, jazz, rock and
tango ensembles. Among them: Orquesta Sinfónica Nacional,
Orquesta Filarmónica de Santiago de Chile, Orquesta Juvenil
de Radio Nacional, Berklee Concert Wind Ensemble, Orquesta Sinfónica
de la Universidad de San Juan, Orquesta del Teatro Argentino de
La Plata, Los Piojos (on "Azul"), Divididos (Estadio Obras-2002),
Rodolfo Alchourron, Olga Guillot, "Beauty and the Beast",
"Chicago" (Teatro Opera), "Grease" (CD), "Fiddler
on the Roof" (recording), "Jazz,
Swing, Tap", etc. He performed in "Schiffrin meets
Piazzolla" conducted by Lalo Schiffrin as saxophonist and clarinet
soloist with John Faddis, Grady Tate, Rufus Reid, and Roberto “Fats”
Fernandez.
He has recorded movie soundtracks
and commercials. He has performed in important concert halls in
Argentina, Chile and the United States. Notably: Teatro Colón,
Centro Cultural San Martín, Teatro Argentino de La Plata,
Teatro Municipal de Santiago de Chile, Berklee Performance Center,
Teatro Opera, Auditorio de Belgrano, as well as television and radio.
He currently resides in Buenos Aires
where he holds the position of alternate clarinet soloist in the
Banda Sinfónica
de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires while at the same time keeping
a busy teaching schedule.
